Set Up Fee

This is a 1 time fee per item type, per order, and covers the time needed to accurately set up the laser or CNC for you project, make the necessary adjustments, and load and position the digital graphics property on your project.
Laser Engraving/Cutting
$1.25 per Minute
Laser cutting or etching of wood, laser-compatible plastics, natural fabrics, leather, etc. Please see our compatible materials list before requesting an estimate.
Estimates are determined by total length or duration of your cut/etch, as determined by our cutting software and the fastest possible speed for a quality cut/etch.
Digital Design
$55 per Hour
Digital services include, vector illustration, graphic layout, image processing, and conversion of photos or physical drawings for cutting/etching.
CNC Router
$35 per Hour
Our 3-axis capabilities offer a build envelope of 48" X 32″, and can accurately manufacture parts and products from wood, acrylic, foam, plastics, aluminum, and brass. Estimates are determined by our software and the fasted feeds and speeds for a safe a quality cut.
Shop Rate/Fabrication
$40 per Hour
This includes any additional fabrication in our fully equipped wood shop.
File Types
Acceptable Files
The process used for laser engraving is different than the process used for printing. It is important that logos and other artwork provided for engraving be in an acceptable format to ensure good quality results.
PDF, SVG, vector artwork that has all text converted to curves or outlines it best. Artwork should be 100% black and white with no grayscale/shading. Regardless of the means of production of your artwork, it should be at least 300 dpi however 600 or greater dpi is preferred.
Unacceptable Files
JPG or GIF images or other low resolution images converted to a TIFF or BMP and even if the resolution is changed to 300 dpi, are not acceptable if the original image was less than 300 DPI. Simply resaving a file as a new file type, does not increase the quality of the pixels in the artwork itself. Images from web sites are typically in 72 or 96 DPI. Please contact your company's graphic department to obtain a High Resolution logo, vs using one off your company's web site.
If you do not have a high resolution image or must use one from your companies web site, please be aware that the end result of the laser engraving will not look professional. We can re-draw the image using the artwork you supply however there is a graphic design charge to do this and will add to the production time to complete your item.
